There is a Harrow, London based company called Shellis Roofing (http://www.shellisroofing.co.uk/). This is a Greek-Cypriot family who came here after World War II. As part of this migration the head of the family picked the name of a British Sergeant for their new surname. Welcome to the family!
So far we have been unable to establish who this Sergeant was.
